Introduction :

Semi-classical dance is a captivating art form that combines elements of classical Indian dance with more contemporary or folk influences. It offers a beautiful fusion of tradition and innovation, blending the grace and precision of classical dance with the expressive freedom of various regional styles. Semi-classical dance draws its foundation from classical Indian dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, and others. It retains the intricate footwork, hand gestures (mudras), facial expressions (abhinaya), and rhythmic patterns (taal) characteristic of classical dances.
